Even if you believe that spiders help the planet, there’s a good chance that you wouldn’t want to find a spider living here

One sign that you may have a spider problem is the spider’s web. That’s probably the most obvious sign that a spider is present, but more severe cases may include spider eggs, a gathering of insects caught in the web, or spider…”droppings….”

These signs can alert you that a spider is present.

Normally, you might just see the web, and your first instinct may be to destroy that web. Once you do, you may be in the clear; or, that spider is hiding out somewhere.

This may be the most common place that a spider is hiding, and you probably have no idea that they are there.

When was the last time you…checked your car mirrors? Or windows?

For the last few weeks, I had a spider web continue to reform itself on my driver’s side window of my car, and even though I kept dismantling the web, it was no use: within a few days, the spider would spin its web…again.

I couldn’t figure out why that would be happening…until now.

Turns out, spiders love to hide within the cracks of your window frame and they do the same for cars, usually opting for the slit behind one of the side mirrors of your car.

It’s true, and I was skeptical to believe it.

Chris Owen informed me that the most common place for spiders in a car is behind the sideview mirror, and it looks like he was right.

Spiders thrive in dark spaces and dens, which is why the hollow crevice of your side view mirrors make it the most likely place you’ll find a spider hiding.

I used wasp spray on my mirror to get rid of the spider, but for good measure, here are 5 other scents that spiders will avoid, according to a partnering Toyota website

  •   Vinegar
  •   Peppermint oil
  •   Eucalyptus oil
  •   Lemon oil
  •   Cedarwood\

You could always use an insecticide to kill the spiders as well…or if you don’t have that, wasp spray seems to work.
