According to WGRZ, the SUNY board of trustees voted to raise SUNY tuition by $200, starting in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Despite the spike in tuition, according to SUNY's website, the SUNY schools tuition are still cheaper than 28 other state public higher education institutions.

The Gannett Albany Bureau reported that tuition next year will be 63 percent higher than it was 10 years ago.
