Stefon Diggs Says This Player Holds the Bills Together
Stefon Diggs has been in the news lately. That's because of his much-talked about contract extension which has not happened yet, and has left fans wondering when it will happen?
Diggs has two years remaining on his current contract and is not in the top 20 paid wide receivers in the NFL. A contract extension is likely coming either this summer or next off-season, but it will be the elephant in the room until it takes place.
While Diggs is important for the Bills, as is quarterback Josh Allen, Diggs is not the glue that holds the Bills roster together. At least, according to Diggs anyway.
The Buffalo Bills officially re-signed running back Taiwan Jones to a one-year contract on Tuesday. Jones is one of the best special teamers in the NFL and offers veteran leadership on the special teams unit.
Diggs had high praise for Jones on Tuesday.
Jones won over Bills fans' hearts in September of 2018, when he took a vicious hit without a helmet (after it was knocked off). Jones had bleeding and suffered discoloration on his forehead from the hit. Amazingly, he did not miss a single game because of it.
Jones is a favorite of Bills players and while it might not seem like a big deal that he re-signed with the team, trust me when I say that it absolutely is to that locker room.
2022 could be Jones' last season as he is 33 years old and has been in the NFL for 11 seasons.
