I love getting out of the house to do stuff.  However, after having a couple kids and trying to get my bills paid, the checking account can get low sometimes.  So what is there to do in our city that doesn't have to cost money? There's  a lot, but here are just a few!

Thursdays at Canalside – These concerts come through every Thursday and they're free!  They're normally national acts. I've seen a lot of fun shows here including The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Arrested Development, and Shooter Jennings. They haven't announced the 2016 lineup yet but it will come out in May.

Shakespeare in Delaware Park – This one really is a Buffalo tradition.  It's been going on since 1976 and is still going on today.  They are a not-for-profit, professional theatre company dedicated to providing free, high-quality public theatre to the widest possible audience. Their goal is to enrich, inspire and entertain diverse audiences through performance and educational programming, with a focus on the works of William Shakespeare.

M&T Fridays – If you like museums, this is right up your alley. M&T Fridays allows people to take in a museum for free on designated days.  The schedule should be out soon but last year people were able to take advantage of free admission to Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Burchfield Penney Art Center, The Buffalo History Museum and The Buffalo Arts Studio.

Food Truck Tuesdays – Ok...so you've heard about some pretty cool food trucks that make their rounds throughout the city and you want to try them out.  This is the way to do it! They all gather at Larkin Square along with live music and a huge crowd. Granted, if you choose to buy some food from the trucks, you'll want to have your wallet with you. But it doesn't cost you to walk down there to meet some friends.
