Living in Western New York, you never think that you will be impacted by a Tropical Storm or Hurricane but this latest Tropical Storm could hit you right in the wallet.

Right now Tropical Storm Barry is bearing down the Gulf Coast and could become a Hurricane by the weekend. The current path would take the storm right over several off-shore oil rigs which means that production would stop and that is what will impact us here in Western New York.

The lost of production of oil will have a directed effect on gas prices across the country.

The average price right now is around $2.84 but if the storm directly impacts the oil rigs we could see the prices rise to over $3.00 per gallon.
