Western New York Diner May Be Only One Still Open 24/7
A cup of coffee at 1 am can really hit the spot, but you need the right atmosphere – typically a diner-like style environment, to really capture the calm of the morning.
Sure, you can make a cup of coffee for yourself in the comfort of your home, but why do that when you can sit in a diner at any hour of the day, talking to your server with the constant smell of fresh coffee and the reporters from WIVB Channel 4 keeping you company at your table for one?
Unfortunately, 24 hour diners, restaurants, stores, and well, 24 hour anything became a thing of the past once COVID-19 reached the United States in March 2020. It has since become harder to keep workers on staff due to local business owners being pressed to pay employees at a rate they cannot afford due to the current economy or simply because too many of their employees decided to stay home due to health concerns. Whatever the reason may be, it has been deemed to be cost-effective to keep the doors closed overnight for a lot of locations.
However, one local diner in Western New York is still open 24 hours for that cup of coffee that you crave to sip in solitude.
Jim’s Truck Plaza is perhaps the only local restaurant open every day of the week for every hour of the day.
