Will These Be Banned In New York State Schools?
There never seems to be a dull moment these days in New York State as new laws and new legislation are always being dreamed up.
The school year is nearing the winter break and many families and staff are getting ready to head someplace warmer. In fact, a recent survey indicated that Orlando, Florida seems to be the top destination.
But when the kids get back to wintry New York State, they will no doubt need to switch back to boots from flip-flops and Crocs. But will this be a permanent thing?

According to multiple reports, there are some school districts in other states that are now banning a popular footwear choice.
A recent report from Today says that, "At Bessemer City High School in Alabama, Principal Stoney Pritchett has declared that school is a no-Croc zone".
The reasoning is that the footwear is not safe.
We have four kids who are all very young and in the summer, Crocs are a go to for them. However, I am constantly telling them not to run in Crocs. The slip off easy and are a trip hazard for the little ones. However, older kids may have an easier time with them so I can see both sides of the debate.
As an adult, I too enjoy wearing Crocs. They have replaced the slippers that I used to wear. Crocs are easy on and easy off and breathe well and are great for around the pool or lake!
Here in New York State, it seems that any Croc ban would be on a case by case basis and schools and districts will make the choice individually.
