For those who love the great outdoors, New York State has so much to offer. Whether you love to hike, hunt, fish, or camp, New York is the place to be!

The Easter recess is here, and for many families, that means a trip to someplace warm like Florida! But when you make plans for a trip, don't overlook the many great things to do right here in the Empire State!

I was doing a little research on the number of places to camp, and it turns out that we have so many great campsites!

Here in New York State, we are blessed to have thousands of campsites ready to go!

According to New York State, "With over 8500 campsites, there's something for everyone in New York's state parks! Sites range from primitive to prime. Tents, trailers, and motorhomes can easily be accommodated. Most sites have a picnic table, fire pit or ring, and nearby restrooms, and many include amenities such as electric, water, and sewer hook-up, and platforms.

And that's just the State Parks! There are many other private and local campgrounds to enjoy this year.

We have four kids, and camping is something that we all love! I never thought I would be the guy hooking a camper up to the truck every weekend. However, camping with the kiddos is one of the best things we do as a family. Camping is a perfect combination of fresh air and memories!
