This week’s Hometown Hero is brought to you by Keller Chevrolet and Batavia Downs Gaming.  He is originally from Holland, NY.  This week’s Hometown Hero serves in the United States Air Force.  His name is Nathan Karp.

Nathan is currently serving in Afghanistan with the United States Air Force, and just left on a very short notice deployment. He's truly what it means to be a volunteer. He's an Air Transportation Specialist and is training to be a Parachute Rigger.

In the local community he's is a Lieutenant in Holland Fire Department and is always lending a helping hand to everyone whenever given the chance. His mother nominated him to be the Hometown Hero of the week for all his hard work and dedication.

We would like to recognize him for that hard work and dedication and for all that he does to keep our country safe (even on short notice) and we are proud to call him this week’s Hometown Hero!

If you would like to nominate someone who is currently serving our country or has served in the past, click the button below. We will choose a new Hometown Hero each Friday. If their name is chosen, we will not only feature them on WYRK.com, but we’ll be sure to thank them for their service on the air and dedicate the first song on Noon Tunes to them.

Once again, thank you to US Air Force Air Transportation Specialist Nathan Karp, our Hometown Hero of the week!
