Another Major Retailer Announces Closings, Any In Buffalo?

On the heels of the recent announcement that Sears is closing dozens of stores across the country including locations at the Boulevard Mall and Walden Galleria, Macy's is shutting down 68 stores as it battles a downturn in sales and online competition.

Four of the stores being closed are in New York State, but none of them are in Buffalo.  The store closest to this area being closed is at The Marketplace in Rochester employing 77 associates.

Macy's says nearly 4,000 employees will be affected by the closures across the country.
