Does the thought of haunted places give you the creeps? Or does it make you intrigued? Buffalo has plenty of well-known haunted locations for the willing to research or even take a trip to. Ghosts aren't that scary...right?
Halloween is that time of year to let your imagination take over. There are many clever costumes out there, but some can't compare. Buffalo-themed costumes are the ones to beat (and yes, we're biased).
With the Bills and Sabres both on your TV, high schoolers getting into the spirit with crazy-themed homecoming days, Halloween costumes lining the shelves of every store, and too many pictures of pumpkin spice lattes on Instagram, it’s clear that autumn is here.
Who's ready for some fun fall festivities? The weather's getting cooler, so you might get to wear that comfy sweater you've been waiting to pull out of your closet and start making that hot apple cider you've been craving for the past month or so. And try to contain your excitement for one of the most enjoyable fall events -- pumpkin picking!
Columbus Day will be on Monday, October 14 this year. We know this holiday is really only important to a few lucky people who actually have the day off, but maybe you'll choose to take it upon yourself to make it a long weekend (come on, we know you want to).
It's that time of year again: Time for the leaves to start changing color, the temperature to get cooler, pumpkin-flavored everything to be introduced once again (one of my favorite things! Pumpkin spice latte, please?) and, of course, the all-time favorite pastime in the fall -- apple picking.
Labor Day will be on Monday, September 2 this year. Although signifying the end of summer, it's still a day for you to enjoy and take advantage of what warm weather we have left here in Buffalo. Finally, a day where all of our hard work is recognized, a day where we'll hardly work, if at all...what could be better?
Yep, it's that time of year again: BACK TO SCHOOL! Parents everywhere are making their paper chain counting down to that first week in September. The only thing left to do is the back-to-school shopping.
