I am a Western New York native, born and raised in West Seneca and now living with my wife Maribeth, who is an R.N., on our 65-acre farm in Marilla. We do not have children but plenty of "kids" -- our cats, dog and horses. I have worked in Buffalo radio since 1975 and at Townsquare since 2001. Presently, I work just weekends and some fill-in on-air work. My main career is in law enforcement; I'm a mounted lieutenant, chaplain and instructor for the Erie County Sheriff's Office. And, yes, I am the guy famous for the signature radio sign-off, "God bless you, God bless America, never say never!"

Thinking About The “Old Days”…
My wife and I were recently discussing how many of the icons we grew up with are gone. Names like Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Elvis and one our favorites, Johnny Carson. We then started talking about some famous folks and wondered if they were still with us...like Loretta Lynn.
May 30th…Memorial Day & Our Anniversary (Video)
Hello All...First, let me say thank you to all the men and women of the Armed Forces dating back to this great nations founding who fought and died for our freedom. A freedom that allows me to celebrate another special day today...Our Wedding Anniversary!
The TRUE Meaning of Memorial Day (Video)
I admit it, I am guilty too. I hear about the upcoming Memorial Day weekend and think, "open the pool, time off, unofficial start of summer" and the list goes on.
So What’s YOUR Sign?

"Sign, sign, everywhere a sign,
Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind,
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?"

A Tribute To Law Enforcement
As many of you know, besides my radio career, I proudly work in law enforcement as a Lieutenant and an Instructor with the Erie County Sheriff's Office Mounted Unit. I also serve as a liaison Chaplain.
I am honored to tell you that this week coming up marks National Police Week. Did you know on average, one law enforcement officer is killed in the line of duty somewhere in the United States eve
For My Mom, Your Mom…An I.O.U.
Mother's Day is Sunday. This will be the sixth Mother's Day without my Mom and twelve years for my wife Maribeth's Mother. No doubt tears will be shed when we visit their graves...much like the tears that are welling up in our eyes as we listen to the late Jimmy Dean Mother's Day classic called, "I.O.U."
What Wedding? I Was Watching The Horses! (Video)
Oh yeah, there was a wedding in London Friday. In all seriousness I do wish William and Kate the best, but as a Mounted Lieutenant for the Erie County Sheriff's Mounted Unit, I must admit, I was watching the horses!
Tribute to NYS Trooper Dobson [VIDEO]
The other day while traveling down the 400 (East Aurora Expressway) I observed a New York State Trooper car with it's lights flashing having just pulled over a motorist. I was so pleasantly surprised to see all the vehicles in front of me slow down and immediately pull over in to the other lane as is required by law and of course is just plain common sense.
