Best Places to Get Pumpkins in Buffalo – Our Top Five
Well not all of these places are within the borders of the city of Buffalo but all are just a short drive away. Western New York is lucky to have such great local farms that provide us with not only pumpkins for Halloween and Thanksgiving, but they also provide us with a place to go with our families and have some quality fun time with the kids.
The Great Pumpkin Farm

The Great Pumpkin Farm is one of the best celebrations of all things Fall and Halloween all rolled into one big hay covered festival basically think if the world of Harry Potter celebrated Halloween their celebrations would look like the Great Pumpkin Farm. At the Great Pumpkin Farm there is something for every member of the family from corn mazes, farm fresh baked goods, hay rides, and of course tons and tons of pumpkins. Admission to The Great Pumpkin Farm is $5 for everyone over the age of 3.

Becker Farms is a great place to visit any time of the year but its especially fun during the Fall. The quick drive down to Gasport is breathtaking when all the leaves are changing and Becker Farms really out does itself for Halloween. The Pumpkin Fiesta includes both haunted hayrides and regular hayrides for the faint of heart, pig races, bounce houses, mazes that will keep you guessing, pony rides through the woods, and Phylotec a biogenetic disaster area gone wrong and that is now home to man eating monsters! And of course Pumpkin Fiesta wouldn’t be complete without pumpkin picking everywhere you look also there will be tons of great food and bake goods available.

Pumpkinville is just minutes away from Ellicottville and like the drive down to Becker Farms the drive down to Pumpkinville is filled with some of the best views of the changing leaves as you drive through the twisting hills. Pumpkinville is filled with fun things to do for the whole family inclusing hayrides, corn shooting, pony rides, duck racing, petting zoo and of course plenty of pumpkins to take home with you. Pumpkinville even has an area where you can decorate your pumpkin.

Awald Giant Pumpkin Patch is the home to some pretty amazing pumpkins from the tiny 6 oz Jack-be Little’s all the way to the 400 lb Atlantic Giant Behemouth’s and loads of sized in between. Awald’s has become a tradition for many people who have been coming here for generations.

Hen Hawks Acres is home to what they call “funky pumpkins” for those of you looking for a cool new way to decorate your pumpkins this year. In addition to pumpkins they have tons of great food to eat while taking in the beautiful fall foliage.
