It turns out Blake Shelton is Reba McEntire's brother! Well... maybe not in real life. But the current CMA Entertainer of the Year has officially signed on to appear in an upcoming episode of his fellow Okie's new hit comedy series, 'Malibu Country.'

According to the Huffington Post, Shelton will appear alongside McEntire as the feisty redhead's brother in an upcoming episode of 'Malibu Country.' Given the pair's impeccable hosting skills for the last two ACM Awards ceremonies, we expect nothing but a dynamic partnership between the naturally funny co-stars as siblings.

With Shelton officially signed on for a guest role on the new ABC comedy, McEntire has already bagged one of her two desired celebrity guest stars before wrapping production of the first season of the fan-favorite sitcom. "I've already talked to Blake [Shelton] and Kelly [Clarkson] and they said that they would appear," she shares.

She adds, "We just got to get the script right when we need 'em in here."

Shelton has displayed his comedic timing on the small screen in a handful of his previous music videos, but his role on 'Malibu Country' will be the first true acting job on the singer's resume. Shelton will return to his prime time gig as a celebrity mentor on 'The Voice' for the wildly popular reality show's upcoming fourth season in March.

Shelton's 'Malibu Country' debut will air on March 1. The show airs Friday evenings on ABC.
