No matter what the situation, the location, the weather, the time of year or the obstacles, the New England Patriots just have a knack for finding ways to win.  Especially when they play the Buffalo Bills.

Tom Brady completed 38 of 59 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns in a statement 40-32 win at Wilson Stadium on Sunday.  That's the most passing yards ever given up by a Bills team in their history.

After all the hype of the past week, the Bills were thoroughly and convincingly beaten by a better team.  When Rex Ryan took over as head coach of the Bills he promised a "bully" and pledged that the Bills defense would be the best in the league.  In giving up 507 yards in offense against the Patriots, the Bills fell way, way short of that and after the game Ryan took full blame.  He said he "got outcoached" by Bill Belichick who came away a winner like he usually does.

Things were looking good early for the Bills after they went on a 10-play game opening drive with Karlos Williams running two yards for a touchdown.  After that the Patriots took over by scoring three straight touchdowns and at one point built a 37-13 lead.  By then it was over and with time still left in the third quarter the fans started their exit out of Wilson Stadium.

The Bills made it interesting at the end of the game closing to with five points of the lead, but it was too little, too late.

Tyrod Taylor completed 23 of 30 for 242 yards and three touchdowns, but he was also intercepted three times.

Were the Bills undisciplined against the Patriots?  It certainly looked like it - taking 14 penalties for 140 yards - one of them on Rex Ryan for unsportsmanlike conduct and numerous personal fouls at the end of plays.  For wanting to be a bully, the Bills were intimidated by the Patriots and how can you argue with their success?  If you want to be the best you have to beat the best and the Bills still are a long way from proving it.

The Bills play on the road at Miami next week.
