For the second year in a row the Kansas City Chiefs come into Buffalo and beat the Bills by capitalizing on turnovers.  The Bills got another outstanding effort from their defense but for the third time in five home games come away a loser 17-13 to the Chiefs.

Bills coach Doug Marrone says taking advantage of the chances you get in a game is absolutely crucial...and they didn't -

The Bills troubles began early in the third quarter when Bryce Brown's fumble on the five yard line on what appeared to be a certain touchdown cost the Bills seven points when the ball rolled out of the back of the end zone for a touchback.  Then in the fourth quarter Leodis McKelvin fumbled the ball on a punt return giving the Chiefs the ball at the Bills 26.  Two plays later the Chiefs had the lead for the first time in the game and held on for the win.

Marcell Dareus led the Bills with three sacks, but a loss like this is tough to take -

The Bills didn't get the bounces and they certainly didn't get the officiating calls.  A questionable offensive pass interference call on Scott Chandler cost the Bills a first down.  The Bills were called for a false start on a fourth and short that as an official myself I wouldn't have called. And the officials decided to hold their flags on what clearly was a hit out of bounds.  And all of the calls and non-calls came in the crucial fourth quarter.

If you knew the Bills would hold the Chiefs to just 278 total yards and sack quarterback Alex Smith six times most fans would assume the Bills would win.  Not this bunch.  Kyle Orton says give the Chiefs credit -

The loss drops the Bills to 5-4 with all four losses coming against teams in the AFC.  That'll hurt in any tie-breaking scenarios.  Manny Lawson says they have to look ahead -

It's a short work week with the Bills traveling to Miami for a Thursday night game.
