Buffalo TOC Riser Kate Mallen On Placing 3rd in The National Riser Competition
Over the last couple of weeks Buffalo fans have been voting like crazy for our local TOC Riser winner Kate Mallen. Kate was among a talented list of artists vying for the title of the Nation Hometown Riser. Kate came in 3rd place but not by much receiving a respectable 5,145 votes behind 2nd place Annie Brobst with 5, 379 votes and the TOC National winner Chelsea Sulkey of Albany who received 5,914 votes. That's pretty remarkable, the span between the 3 ladies was very small!! The top 3 are women and that's encouraging for a format that struggles to break female artists.
You can see Kate Mallen Performing live starting at 7 pm. tomorrow night at (Thursday, June 21st) at the Water Street Landing in Lewiston and this October at the WYRK Acoustic concert (Date TBA)
Congratulation Kate Mallen on your success as our Buffalo Hometown TOC Riser. She has a promising career ahead of her and we're very proud to be a part of her journey!
