Along with our first snowfall of the season, we get news that The Ice at Canalside will be opening soon for open skating downtown.

It feels like it's so early in the season, but before you know it, winter will be in full effect.  We will see holiday shopping, snow, and of course plenty of people at the ice rink at Canalside.

What is The Ice at Canalside?

The Ice at Canalside is one of the biggest ice rinks in the Buffalo area.  It offers all kinds of fun things to do in the winter months including open skate, curling, ice biking, ice bumper cars, and all kinds of other cool promotions.

It's right off route 5 in the city of Buffalo near KeyBank Center.

When will The Ice at Canalside open for the 2023-2024 season?

Get ready to lace up those skates.  The first day (weather permitting) that the Ice at Canalside will open up to the public is set for November 24th.  It will be the first opportunity to get the family together and step out on the ice for some fun.
