Child Seat Check Station at Emery Park Wednesday

Before you start the long drive or family road trip this summer, the Erie County Sheriff's Office and the Erie County Parks Department want to make sure that your kids travel safely in the car.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Erie County Parks Department to host the free car seat checks at county parks. This week, look for the check station at Emery Park between 5-8pm on Emery Road in the Town of Aurora.

Car seats are not all that difficult to install if you do it a few times. As a first time dad, I had to practice a few times and the seat that fits well in my truck doesn't fit well in my wife's car. Making sure that the seat is placed properly and most importantly, securely, is why these check stations are so important.
