Someone was able to hack the National Football League's Twitter account on Tuesday and posted a tweet that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had died.

"We regret to inform our fans that our commissioner, Roger goodell, has passed away.  He was 57. #RIP."

As proof that he indeed was alive, Goodell later tweeted a photo of himself at work at NFL headquarters.

Goodell was in Western New York on Monday for Jim Kelly's 30th annual charity golf tournament at Terry Hills Golf Course in Batavia and he looked very much alive.

It's the second time in three days that a tweet claimed a famous celebrity had died.  Over the weekend a tweet from comedian Jack Black's twitter account announced he had died and it was shared thousands of times before the hack was discovered.

"It is with a heavy heart I am to announce that Jack Black passed away last night at 3:37 am. The cause of death is yet unknown."
