19 years. That's how long Rascal Flatts has been around the country music scene. It's easy to forget just how long ago their started; with a song that was fun and upbeat, yet the subject was about as sad as it gets!

After Rascal Flatts signed with Lyric Street Records, the group released their debut single "Prayin' for Daylight" in February of 2000. The song would be a breakthrough hit, peaking at #3 on both the Mediabase and Billboard country airplay charts that summer.

Written by Steve Bogard and Rick Giles, the song was off their self-titled debut album. It produced three more top 10 radio singles, including the emotional, "I'm Movin' On" (#4) in early 2002.

Over the past 19 years, Rascal Flatts have had 15 number one singles and 31 top ten singles. They've had so many great songs but "Prayin' for Daylight" still holds up as one of their best.

They'll be headlining at Darien Lake amphitheater on September 13th, with special guests Jordan Davis and Morgan Evans.
