Drake White's "Livin' the Dream" video is not your typical music video. While the singer and his band do make an appearance in the three-minute clip, it is White's dog, Writer, who truly has the starring role.

At the start of the video, a butterfly lands on Writer and the insect's perspective shifts onto the dog. White explained this to Taste of Country on the set of the shoot, saying it all made for a magical video. While White and his wife, Alex, are shown hand-in-hand strolling on a farm in Tennessee, the entire video is filmed through the eyes of their dog.

“I loved being able to spend the day with my partners in crime – Alex and Writer,” White says in a press release. “We love spending time together outdoors, so I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect shoot or example of ‘Livin’ the Dream.'”

"Livin' the Dream" was directed by P.R. Brown, who says that he enjoyed bringing the song to life. "I really think his fans are going to get a kick out of it because it's a bit different than your typical music video," the director explains.

Throughout the video, Writer watches White patiently as he has a front porch pickin' party with his band, hangs in the back of White's Ford truck and plays a game of fetch. At the video's end, the viewer finds the pooch asleep on the porch as he is awoken from his magical dream.

Drake White heads back on tour with Zac Brown Band this May.
