A good day for Carl Edwards at Sonoma Raceway in California. He led 26 laps to win the Toyoata/Save Mart 350 for his career road course victory.

Edwards held off Jeff Gordon by half a second to become the fifth driver this season to win at least two races.

It's Edwards' 23rd career Cup victory and insures himself a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr., pole sitter Jamie McMurray and Paul Menard completed the Top 5.

It was one of the better races of the season for A J Almendinger.  He led a race-high 35 laps after starting second, but faded to finish 37th.

Next up it's under the lights at Kentucky Speedway next Saturday night.
