After Hours Tour @ The Richardson Olmsted Complex with The Buffalo History Museum
This tour spotlights the renowned past and rising future of The Richardson Olmsted Complex with the backdrop of Buffalo’s great history.
Program begins at 5:30 p.m. at the History Museum’s Resource Center at 459 Forest Ave. with a guided tour of the Pan Am Expo exhibit, “The Spirit Still Lives.” Then, it’s off to experience the Richardson Olmsted Complex, the former Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane.
At 6 pm a lecture about the history of the Richardson Olmsted Complex and Buffalo in the late 19th Century will take place. From 7-8pm, an exclusive guided tour of the Richardson Olmsted Complex will bring guests through the iconic towers building, patient wards, former chapel, and exterior grounds.
