This tour spotlights the renowned past and rising future of The Richardson Olmsted Complex with the backdrop of Buffalo's great history.
Program begins at 5:30 p.m. at the History Museum’s Resource Center at 459 Forest Ave. with a guided tour of the Pan Am Expo exhibit, “The Spirit Still Lives.” Then, it's off to experience the Richardson Olmsted Complex, the former Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane.
At 6 pm a lecture about the history of the Richardson Olmsted Complex and Buffalo in the late 19th Century will take place. From 7-8pm, an exclusive guided tour of the Richardson Olmsted Complex will bring guests through the iconic towers building, patient wards, former chapel, and exterior grounds.
