Moe Pye – Golf Tournament and Benefit

Friends of Moe Pye will be hosting a golf tournament and benefit. Maureen (Moe) was diagnosed last May with ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.  She is the first recipient in the US to receive a new drug Radicava, but the cost of infusions is nearly $1,000 per dose and she receives 14 doses each month, adding up to over $140,000 a year. Our goal is to help to the lighten the financial burden associated with this chronic illness.

Moe was a bus driver for Eden School District and adored by her students, an accomplished gardener and animal lover, until this disease made it impossible for her follow her passions. Yes, this vibrant, strong soul, a loving mother and friend, has been stricken with the unimaginable. But with the help of community and friends a rainbow of blessings can come her way.
