“Last of the Bier Garden Parties!” and “Weimer’s Grove Reunion”

Celebrate the Annual WURSTFEST with the German American Musicians “Buffalo’s BIG German Band! And The Auslanders as they bring you an Oktoberfest in June, Saturday, June 29 at The Bowen Road Grove (formerly Weimer’s Grove). It will be a merging of two live bands, authentic food by Scharf’s Schiller Park Restaurant many German liquid libations and all the rest that a rowdy BIG German band brings to the party scene.

Doors open at 3pm with music performed by the 25-piece German American Musicians “Buffalo’s BIG German Band!” and another German band yet to be announced along with traditional dance and sing-a-longs, contests and more. There is also a playground for the kinder! In addition to German music, food and beverages the night will be filled visits from der Meister Schuss (The shot board) as well as special appearances by “Der Burgermeister” and “Herr Dunderbeck”. A German store will also be available to purchase any souvenirs, or snacks including Limburger sandwiches, kuchen, soft pretzels, and Landjäger.

WURSTFEST will be taking place at the Bowen Road Grove, located at 3937 Bowen Road in Lancaster, New York. Presale tickets are $8 for individuals (children 12 and under are free). The German American Musicians Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for profit organization filed with the New York State Attorney General’s Charity Bureau, with the primary goal of the cultivation and performance of traditional music and culture of German-speaking lands. With a membership ranging from college-aged to mid-80s, the G.A.M. brings together individuals who enjoy learning about the sights, tastes, sounds, and traditions of this area of the globe, while at the same time celebrating the German concept of Gemϋtlichkeit – “a love of life, being in the right place at the right time, with the right people, doing the right things!” The G.A.M. is always interested in adding more members, and invite the public to contact us for details.
