Extra DWI Patrols Will Hit the Streets for St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

There's no question that Buffalo likes to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  It's one of the best cities in the United States to do so.  But if you plan to do that with more than just corned beef and cabbage, you might want to have a designated driver.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office is promising additional patrols and DWI checkpoints during March 17-20.

The NYS Police have also announced they will have checkpoints up across the state to ensure the safety of all during this holiday.

That means if you're headed out to see Blake Shelton this Thursday, plan ahead to not only avoid getting a ticket but also to help save a life.
