We're all here in Western New York cursing the snow sub zero temperatures and waiting for it impatiently to stop. The Town of East Aurora has secretly been hoping the exact opposite.

East Aurora has put it's Christmas decorations back up and are ready to put themselves, if they're not already, on the map. The movie "Small Town Prince" is set in Western New York for the small town-Christmas-feel. According to the Buffalo News: "The village Public Works Department will soon rehang decorations and wreaths on lamp posts so a California movie company can begin shooting a small independent holiday romance later this month."

The real question is: Ready to be in the movie?

According to WIVB:

Yes, a local casting director has been reading local actors.

How can you be an extra? Even possible IN the movie?

They’re looking for help on Monday Feb. 23, Thursday Feb. 26, Friday Feb. 27, Tuesday March 3, Wednesday March 4 and Thursday March 5. Anybody interested in being an extra can apply through email by emailing SmallTownPrinceCasting@Gmail.com.

Filming starts THIS Monday in East Aurora and local film professionals have been hired while the Californian film company rolls in and any extras, of course, will be unpaid but meals will be provided. Businesses with decorations in the windows and exterior are expected to be set for the movie. Possibly setting up for a Hallmark-type movie?

It makes sense that East Aurora was chosen for this movie, though. The town is already possibly breaking a world record for the largest and most consecutive Christmas caroling event in the country with the annual Carolcade .

Here's what the movie is about:
