I give my parents a lot of credit for supporting me all the years I was in the school chorus. They never heard me speak or heard me sing -- they never heard a sound -- but they sat through all those school assemblies and holiday shows and always told me they enjoyed it and I did well.

Years later, I wish I was able to have the imagination to allow my parents to have an even better experience when they came to see their son in a school show, just like Clair Koch did when her deaf parents came to her school's holiday show.

And it looks like Clair had a blast doing it. She stole the show, and afterward her mom told her she was their hero.
