There will be a special ceremony taking place in Buffalo, New York as the city and the region remember the life of a fallen hero.

It is hard to believe, but it has already been a year since Buffalo firefighter, Jason Arno, was killed in a large fire in downtown.

According to reports Mayor Byron Brown says flags will be lowered to half-staff in memory of Jason Arno. A remembrance ceremony is also scheduled to take place at the site of the tragedy at 10 a-m.

The 37-year-old Arno left behind a wife and daughter.

Flags will be lowered for the remainder of the weekend.

The smoke could be seen for miles away and many witnesses were working in the downtown area when the fire broke out.

We pray for all first responders, the Buffalo Fire Department and the family and friends of Firefighter Arno.
