This is a nice idea from Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon and Urban Valet Dry Cleaner's; they’ve come up with this collection program to help area high school girls obtain a prom dress for free.  As we all know, dresses aren’t cheap and by the way how many times will you where a prom dress?  Why not recycle and help parents of teenage girls get a beautiful, previously loved dress for her dance.   In March, folks were able to drop off no longer needed dresses as part of the upcoming ‘shopping days’ this week.  We’re told some amazing dresses were dropped off so girls will have a nice variety to pick from.  I can’t imagine forking out hundreds of dollars for a dress your kid will where less than a hand full of times and if you have more than one daughter that could break the bank.  So if you’re in the market for a prom dress take advantage of this opportunity.  Shopping days are tomorrow 4/19 from 5:30pm to 8pm and on Saturday 4/21 from 11am to 2pm at the Hamburg High School.  Ready….set….go hunt for a prom dress.
