Fun Facts About Easter!

With Easter right around the corner, I thought it would be cool to post some facts about the holiday.  These will help you sound smart at the family gathering.  I'll start you off with an easy one to remember!!  The first chocolate eggs were made in.....the 19th century and originated in Europe!

-Here's another one:  Did you know that 90-million chocolate Easter bunnies are produced for the holiday each year!

-6,050 lbs. is the weight of the heaviest jar of jelly beans.

-The act of painting eggs is called "Pysanka."

-Easter Bonnets: are worn as a throwback to the days of when people denied themselves the pleasure of wearing finer head covers.

-Kids favorite jelly bean- RED

-The Easter Egg roll on the White House lawn dates all the way back to 1878!
