Its the day after Easter. Its only in Buffalo. Combine Polish pride and pussy willows, and you've got Dyngus Day!

Monday's festivities will kick off with the Dyngus Day parade in the historic Polonia section of Buffalo's East Side.  After a blessing ceremony in front of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church near the Broadway Market, the procession will begin at 5 p.m. The parade will be about an hour long, and thousands of spectators are expected.  The weather is forcast to be mostly sunny, warming up to 62. Parade participants will compete for awards.

Dyngus Day is a traditional Polish springtime celebration at the end of Lent.  The festivities here in Buffalo are considered the largest in the U.S. You can purchase a Pussy Willow pass at the Broadway Market and Wegmans which entitles you free shuttle bus service and special admission rates to parties in  neighborhood establishments.
