What a great story. Happened to see this on the Channel 7 website. This is what sportsmanship is all about:

PAWLING, NY (WKBW) – Spectators at the New York State Cross Country Championship meet in Pawling, NY this past weekend witnessed an incredible act of kindness and fierce determination by a pair of competitors.
Kaylea Rustay of John F. Kennedy High School in Cheektowaga was running in the championship meet and had suffered an injury to her hip early on in the race.
