Did this high school go too far?

This 15-year-old daughter was forced to wear what sis called the "shame suit at school on the third day because her skirt was too short.

The student, Miranda Larkin told ABC,

It was right after first period,” Miranda told ABC News. “I was in the hallway and I got stopped by a teacher who told me my skirt was too short and sent me to the nurse’s office. They told me I was going to have to change and put on the dress-code-violation outfit.”

If you violate the dress code in Miranda's school the administration gives you a neon-yellow t-shirt with “DRESS CODE VIOLATION” on it and red sweatpants with the same thing down the leg.

Oakleaf’s dress code dictates that skirts must be knee-length or longer. Miranda’s skirt was shorter than that, but she said the violation was unintentional.

Miranda said that the school told her that the point of the whole ensemble was to embarrass her and she snapped a picture and sent it to her mom to show her.

What do you think? What would you think if this was your kid?
