I Got Lucky Again At The Rapids Fire Company

It's always a great idea to support your local volunteer fire company. Even though they are not my local fire department, I always buy a few tickets for the Rapids Fire Company's gun raffles. They hold these fundraisers a few times per year. With you ticket purchase, you are also treated to a delicious dinner complete with drinks and desserts. The food is always good and even if you don't win anything, you feel you got your money's worth with an enjoyable meal.

For some reason, the gun raffles at Rapids Fire Company have always been good to me. In the past few years, I have won a rifle, and a chainsaw while my son Tyler has won a hunting blind and a video camera. Luck was with us again as this past Saturday night I won a Delta Swamp Buck archery target.
I am very happy about winning this prize because it is something that my son and I will get a lot of use out of. In fact, we were using it last night. 

So the next time you see someone selling a gun raffle ticket for your local fire company, spend the money and buy a ticket or two. Even if you don't win, your money helps out a wonderful cause.
