Independence Day with the Modens [PHOTOS]

What a fun weekend! As luck would have it, the weather was perfect for Independence Day and we finally got a chance to enjoy a day with no work or other commitments (other than sipping a drink and sitting by the pool.)I even had a chance to smoke a turkey!! It was the first turkey I had ever tried to smoke. Wings, fish, beef brisket, they have all been in my smoker at one point or another, But a turkey is a whole different, er..animal.

The turkey turned out great and even hank had a little smoked turkey in between his snacks and splashing around the water. I was even able to use my new favorite eagle inflatable!
