This week, we’re rounding up your all-around best shots.Sunday was Easter, but the real party was Monday: Dyngus Day. The holiday, a Polish-American tradition, is celebrated the day after Easter as the end of the often-restrictive Lenten season. And we're lucky here in Buffalo -- we're the Dyngus Day capital of the world!
Buffalo's Polish celebrated across Western New York on Monday with polkas, dance parties, traditional Polish foods, parades, water guns, pussy willows, and a lot of Tyskie. The Central Terminal, located in the historically Polish East Side, served as the heart of the party.
Anderson Cooper, who made fun of the holiday last year on air, had promised he would try to stop by Buffalo this year. He didn't make it, but that didn't stop the festivities. Here's what you saw when Buffalo became a sea of red.
