Joy Skurka Wins The Hamburg Overhead Door’s “Ugliest” Contest

It’s an annual tradition. Each year around Erie County Fair time, Hamburg Overhead Door runs a contest inviting people to send pictures of their ugliest garage doors. If you drive around Western New York often, you probably have seen a few of them. But, none is uglier than the one owned by the mother of Joy Skurka of Buffalo.

According to Jen Kuhn of Hamburg Overhead Door…

“It was a really close race and the difference between the winner and runner up was only by 10 votes!”

In her entry, Joy wrote…

“Garage door? What garage door!! It fell off. This is my mother’s house where I grew up, and I just hate to see it looking like this... I've had it fixed many times”
