Kite Surfer Dies In The Water At Hamburg Beach

A report was received today of a Kite Surfer in distress at Hamburg Beach and unfortunately did not survive.

According to WKBW, the rescuers were called to the beach this afternoon to assist a "kite surfer in distress."

Unfortunately it was too late by the time they arrived.  They reached him about 45 minutes later and he had unfortunately died.

At this point, there is no word on whether he died due to a medical emergency prior to his death.

Hamburg Beach has since been closed temporarily due to dangerous conditions.
