The wait is finally over.

NFL regular season games are officially back tonight, as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Detroit Lions from Arrowhead Stadium.

It was a year ago that the Buffalo Bills were playing on opening night. They defeated the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams and it was a night that the entire NFL saw the Bills has a huge Super Bowl threat.

The Bills had a good season but injuries, snowstorms and the emotional toll of the Damar Hamlin medical event played a factor in their lackluster play in the playoffs, which resulted in an AFC Divisional round loss to the Bengals.

The Bills have less spotlights on them this season, despite what is a great roster once again on paper. They are back healthy for the most part, outside of edge rusher Von Miller being out the first four games of the season, as he is recovering from ACL surgery.

However, one player they got back this season is now dealing with an injury that popped up during the week.

Safety Micah Hyde is dealing with a back injury and will once again be limited at practice on Thursday, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

The injury status for this game will not come out until Saturday, since the game is on a Monday. Hyde being a limited participant gives an optimistic look on his chances to play Monday night. Still, it's not great news that one of the most important players on the team is now dealing with an injury.

The Bills face Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.
