Bad news, Jam in the Valley-goers: Due to illness, Miranda Lambert and The Pistol Annies have cancelled their Friday night (July 6) performance at JITV. But fear not! The festival has arranged for two very worthy country stars (and "old friends" of JITV) to take Lambert's place -- Sawyer Brown and Gretchen Wilson.

"We realize that there will be many disappointed fans, however we are extremely fortunate to land any performers to replace Miranda at such a late hour," the festival's organizers said tonight (Thursday, July 5) in a statement on their website.

All other details are currently being worked out by JITV staff.

"Please be patient with us as we have yet to formulate a plan to deal with this issue, other than to secure new artists, replace production and all that goes along with this major change," they said in their statement. "We plan to entertain you all weekend long as best we can and will make an announcement early next week to follow up on this late breaking news. Jam in the Valley sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused."

UPDATE: 7/6, 6 a.m.

Here are the latest details from the folks at JITV:

Good morning everyone. Please keep your tickets, wristbands (if they were already sent to you) and any documentation that you have. We will do our very best to work with you for a full refund, or reimbursement of some sort for today's show.

Please keep in mind that we are not a daily concert venue that can simply try again in a few weeks when Miranda is feeling better.

The amount of coordination to have this event on private property with permits, licensing, staffing, emergency services, etc...takes months to plan every year.

If there is any way Miranda would consider rescheduling a show for us, that can work on our property in a short turn around time...You better believe we will make that happen...If she is unable to reschedule, we truly apologize.

In the end, we hope Miranda feels better very soon and we will work with each and every one of you as soon as we have more clarification from Miranda's camp, hopefully early next week.

Again, please hang on to all unused tickets, wristbands, etc...even if you live far away, we can figure this out. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
