Twenty-five years after the last original Dr. Seuss book was released, another one will hit the bookshelves this Tuesday.  "What Pet Should I Get" is the story of a brother and sister's trip to a pet shop and all the choices they had.  The brother and sister are the same ones who were in the Dr. Seuss book "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish".

The long-lost manuscript was found in a box of materials set aside after Theodore Geisel died in 1991. It's believed to have been written between 1958 and 1962 and placed aside for some reason. It included black and white drawings and type-written text that was taped to the drawings.

Cathy Goldsmith was the designer and art director on his last six books. She directly worked with Geisel and is considered the last link to Dr. Seuss.  Goldsmith was asked to complete work on the recently found manuscript, and a million copies are planned for the first printing.

In the book the brother and sister try to decide between a dog, cat, bird or fish and by the end of the story they finally make a decision.  And it's a true Dr. Seuss perfect ending.  What do they decide?  You'll have to buy the book to find out.
