Country hip hop artist Big Smo is gearing up for his 'Kuntry Livin'' album release, hitting stores early this summer. In the meantime, he's dishing about the album and the inspiration behind it.

The Tennessee native tells Taste of Country Nights, "My music is about my life. If it's something that I've lived, then it's something that I've written about."

Not only is he pumped about sharing his unique blend of rap, hip-hop, and country twang with the world, Big Smo truly believes he'll help change the landscape of country music through this record.

"June 3rd we're going to change country music for the rest of eternity," he confirms.

In addition to rapping his way through original songs, Big Smo is also residing in front of the camera, with what he calls a "real life original series" and fans can see his show this summer on A&E. The self-proclaimed Boss of the Stix will give fans an exclusive look at his life as a musician, following him, his friends and family, and his ascent in the country music industry.

'Kuntry Livin'' boasts 13 tracks -- including 'Redneck Rich,' which you can hear in the video above -- all based on his personal life experiences. Big Smo has a strong following, with almost 16 million views on YouTube and over 150,000 digital tracks sold.

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 50 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
