We're heading into fall, which for many people is the best time of year for craft beer.

Oktoberfest, pumpkin beers and other dark beers are very popular in September, October and November, which means breweries all over Western New York will be busy with Buffalonians (the Buffalo Bills and Sabres back will also help crowds).

The biggest abundance of breweries in Western New York is located in the north towns and the City of Buffalo. That's mostly due to the fact everything is condensed, from Buffalo to Kenmore, and Amherst to Cheektowaga. You find the greatest abundance of breweries, restaurants and grocery stores there compared to the south towns.

The south towns could use a few more brewery locations and thankfully, one of the most popular is bringing a location to Orchard Park.

Back in the spring, it was officially announced that New York Beer Project would be bringing a new location to Orchard Park and on Saturday, they shared a photo of the construction that was underway for the new facility.

The new location is in the Sterking Business Park, right off of Winward Rd. which is in the back of the plaza. The cool part about the new location is that it's so close to the I-219, which will make for easy travel for those going there.

There's no set date on the opening of the NYBP location in Orchard Park but they said stay tuned for more updates.

The first location for NYBP in Western New York is up on Transit Road in Lockport. More breweries south of Buffalo, please.
