North Tonawanda Healing Field to Honor Victims of 9-11

The 15^th Anniversary of the attacks on America on 9-11 is coming up this Sunday and a special event to commemorate that event is coming up this weekend at Gratwick Riverside Park in North Tonawanda.  They're calling it Healing Field - 3000 American flags representing the victims and first responders.

Each of those flags is available to sponsor for $25.  Attached to each flag will be the names of the victims and first responders who died on 9-11.  Also on each flag will be the name of a service man or woman or a family name.

At the end of the program on September 11th, sponsors are invited to take their flag home.

Proceeds from the Healing Field will benefit

• Wounded Warriors
• Vietnam Veterans Chapter 77
• Iraq Veterans
• Homeless Veterans
