June 18, 2012 Congratulations to Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, who is expecting her first child with her husband Justin Miller. As you can imagine, the couple was thrilled at the news. Jennifer is due in November, close to the couple’s one-year anniversary.

May 24, 2012 Tonight is the night to "duet." The new singing competition called ‘Duets’ premieres on ABC tonight and gives us a new twist. Four superstars will compete alongside their chosen amateur duet partners. Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles has found two singers to compete, R&B influenced J Rome and her fellow Georgia native John Glossom. I would think Jennifer will have an upper hand in this competition, seeing how she is part of a duo and will have experience sharing the spotlight and singing harmony with a partner.
Just before I left work this past Friday, I grabbed a copy of the "Act of Valor" soundtrack, which is loaded with country music. As most of you may already know, Keith Urban's song "For You", was the song chosen to be released as a single to radio. Most, or I should say, all of the songs on the album are about our military men and women. For those of you who are in the military or have loved ones in the military, you'd really connect with some of these songs. Track 2- by Sugarland- "Guide Me Home" is a great song--one of my 3 favorite on the soundtrack. One song that really stuck out is called "Where We Left Off" and it's performed by Hunter Hayes. ‘Duets,’ the new reality singing competition series starring Sugarland vocalist Jennifer Nettles and semi-country singer Kelly Clarkson, debuts this coming Thursday (May 24) in a two-hour premiere. The premise of the show is that established vocalists will partner with neophytes for –you guessed it- a duet! Rather than be judges or mentors, the celebs are performing alongside the hopefuls. Ahead of the big bow at 8 PM ET, the singing partners of each mentor have been revealed by ABC.

CMT unrolled the red carpet for their 2012 Music Awards nominations this morning, and it looks like Carrie Underwood is set to have quite the year, with a stunning total of five nominations. While Underwood is in the lead, tons of other country stars netted multiple nominations this year. Miranda Lambert is packing four — two for her solo work and two with first-time nominees Pistol Annies.
Lauren Alaina is ready for the hot weather, and now she has the hairstyle to prove it! Over the weekend, Alaina had her long locks chopped off and is now sporting a short hairdo that hits her at the chin and makes her look much more mature.
