The last time they scheduled a show in Indiana, Sugarland made headlines for all the wrong reasons, suffering a horrific stage collapse that claimed the lives of seven concertgoers and injured more than 40 others.
At the time, they promised they’d be back to perform a free show — and now they’re making good on that promise by adding a new show.

An official law suit hasn’t been filed but the duo has been named as a defendant in a tort claim which states that the band its members, agents and employees could be among 15 potential defendants.

August 30, 2011 Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles has been asked to host the CMA country Christmas special for a second year. The two hour show will be taped on November 10th which is the day after the CMA Awards and will air on ABC during the holidays. I watched the special last year and thought Jennifer did a great job hosting. Word is she is pleased to have been asked back to host once again.
August 23, 2011 A seventh person has now died from that stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair. A 24-year old Cincinnati woman was taken off life support yesterday and later died. She was sitting in the front row of the concert venue waiting for Sugarland to take the stage when a gust of wind caused the stage to topple.
