Breaking news on Friday night, as a plane has crashed at the Olean airport, according to WNY Fire Alerts on Twitter.

According to the Dunkirk Observer, Firefighters from the town of Ischua in Cattaraugus County responded to the crash at 7:15 p.m.

The pilot was being looked at by EMS staff.

The crash happened about 100 yards from the end of the runaway at the Olean Airport. According to The Post-Journal, the plane that went down was a fixed-wing, single-engine.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified and efforts are underway to close the airport.

Hoping that there are no other injuries with this plane crash.
