It's the difference between what kind of team they could be and what they too often are.  But for one night the Buffalo Sabres showed how impressive they can be, putting it all together in a 7-4 over the Bruins in Boston.  Thomas Vanek leading the way with his second five-point game of the season.  Vanek scoring three goals and assisting on two others and now leads the NHL in scoring.

Cody McCormick, Alexander Sulzer, Tyler Ennis and Jason Pominville scored the other Buffalo goals while Ryan Miller came back strong from that awful game against the Toronto Maple Leafs to make 42 saves against the Bruins, some of them spectacular.

The win over the Bruins ends the Sabres four game losing streak.  The Sabres play in Montreal Saturday afternoon, then they're back home Sunday against the Florida Panthers at 3:00.
